Why use this template?
Use this PowerShell template when you need to export per-user authentication method registration status. It is generated locally and can be reviewed before you run it yourself in your own PowerShell session.
The template uses Microsoft.Graph.Reports and requires AuditLog.Read.All. Output: CSV report. Level: Advanced. Action: Read-only. Risk: Low.
Review before running
The script is generated in your browser. Read it before you run it, and test it outside production first. “Read-only” describes the script itself; anything you add around it can still change data.
Generate the script
- Open the template in the PowerShell Builder.
- Enter the requested values and review the module, permissions, output and risk.
- Generate the script, read it carefully, and test it outside production before use.
The script is generated locally in your browser. Nothing needs to be uploaded to Opselith.
Generate Export Entra authentication registration status →How to use this result
Use this report to review per-user authentication registration state without changing authentication methods.
When this helps
- Review MFA and SSPR registration before an authentication-method rollout or security review.
- Find users who are registered or capable for MFA/SSPR and compare registered methods.
How to read the result
- The report exposes Microsoft Graph userRegistrationDetails values such as IsMfaRegistered, IsMfaCapable, IsSsprRegistered, IsSsprCapable and MethodsRegistered.
- Registration or capability does not prove that every sign-in is protected by MFA; Conditional Access and authentication policy still determine enforcement.
Things to check
- The report is a registration snapshot and can lag behind recent changes according to Microsoft report update timing.
- Do not use a missing registration flag alone as proof that an account can sign in without other controls.
What to do next: Review outliers with your authentication-method and Conditional Access policies before changing user registration.
