About membership review

What files work best?

Use a CSV or TSV where each row is one group membership. Opselith can work with exports from Active Directory, Microsoft Entra and similar admin systems as long as there is a column that identifies the member.

  • For one group, choose only the member column.
  • For exports with several groups, also choose the group column so the same person can safely appear in different groups.
  • When comparing two exports, both files need matching column names for the member and optional group columns.

What counts as a problem?

A missing member value or the same membership appearing twice needs fixing before Opselith can safely compare two exports. Groups, service principals or other non-user members are shown as check items rather than treated as errors.
